Answers
What is CWR Micro?
CWR Micro is a phone app and office website for small UK waste carriers, such as skip hire, man and van and house clearance firms. Drivers fill in waste transfer notes and hazardous waste consignment notes on the job, the customer signs on screen, and the invoice is made from the job. It is made by Clear Waste Route Ltd.
How much does CWR Micro cost?
There's a 14-day free trial. The monthly price, and what each extra driver costs, are on the For carriers page.
Which phones does it work on?
CWR Micro works on iPhone and Android phones. The office website works in any up-to-date web browser.
Does my customer need the app to sign the waste transfer note?
No. The customer signs on the driver's phone, and gets a copy of the signed note.
Does it work with no phone signal?
Yes. The driver and customer can sign a waste transfer note on the phone with no signal. The app sends it once the phone has signal again. It needs to be sent within 7 days of signing, or CWR Micro support has to check it before it is issued.
Can I export invoices to my accounts software?
Yes. You can download your invoices and customers as files that Xero or QuickBooks Online can import.
How long must waste transfer notes be kept?
The law says a business must keep waste transfer notes for at least two years, and hazardous waste consignment notes for at least three years. CWR Micro keeps each waste transfer note for at least two years, and each hazardous waste consignment note for at least three, so you can find them when you're asked.
Is it free to book a collection?
Yes. Booking through a carrier's booking page is free. The carrier sets their own price and confirms it with you.
What happens to the details I give when I book?
We pass your message, contact details and photos only to the carrier you choose, and delete them after 12 months.
How do you check the carriers in the search?
Every carrier here holds a waste carrier licence we've checked on the Environment Agency's public register. We don't set their prices or check the quality of their work, so agree the price first and make sure you get a waste transfer note.
Can carriers pay to be higher up the search?
No. Carriers are listed nearest first, and nobody can pay to be higher. Being listed is free.
Who can leave a review?
Reviews come only from customers who had a collection done by this carrier through CWR Micro. We don't edit reviews or pay for them. The carrier can reply once. We remove reviews that are abusive, share someone's personal details or aren't about the job.
Who runs CWR Micro?
CWR Micro is made by Clear Waste Route Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17168009), registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ZC174222).
